Located about six kilometers from the centre of
the City, The Club stands as a prominent landmark
at the junction of Balestier and Moulmein Roads,
commanding a panoramic view of one of the most picturesque
playing fields in Singapore. A Management Committee
(which includes Lady members), implements the policy,
together with an Immediate Past President and Advisors.
It was founded by early Singapore Ceylonese professionals
to promote sports & camaraderie among residents
in Singapore. Originally known as the Lanka Union
since January 1920, the Club was reconstituted on
11 June 1928 as the Ceylon Sports Club. It has since,
evolved into a premier Family and Sports Club in
the Island.
